Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be a graduating high school senior planning to pursue a career in healthcare
- Come from a disadvantaged background (e.g., low-income household or special personal/family circumstances)
- Have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrate involvement in community service, social work, or volunteer activities
Plan to begin academic or vocational education in the upcoming fall at an accredited college, university, or community college
Required Documents
To be considered complete, applications must include:
- Completed application form
- Personal statement explaining your motivation to pursue a healthcare career, including relevant experiences and personal qualities
High school transcript - Two letters of recommendation (preferably from teachers)
- Proof of financial hardship or special circumstances (summary page of 1040 tax return from both parents, or other relevant documentation)
College acceptance letter for fall enrollment
Selection Criteria
Applications will be reviewed anonymously by a committee and evaluated based on:
- Career Commitment: Demonstrated interest in healthcare
- Academic Achievement: GPA and strength of recommendation letters
- Financial Need: Verified hardship or special circumstances
